Telecoms
Hear the customer before they leave.
The problem
Care queues grow faster than headcount. Churn shows up in a monthly report, weeks after the decision was made. Revenue leaks through mismatches nobody has time to chase.
What changes
Most operators already have the data: usage, complaints, top-ups, tickets. It sits in separate systems, read by different teams on different days. Joined up and read continuously, it turns reporting into early warning.
The version for a smaller team
A regional ISP, a value-added-services provider or a reseller does not need a data science team. It needs one signal (who is likely to leave, which tickets are urgent) delivered to the people who can act on it.
Who regulates it
- National Communications Authority (NCA)Licensing, quality of service and consumer protection for communications providers.
- Data Protection Commission (DPC)Subscriber data is personal data under Act 843.
Subscriber and usage records are personal data. Anything that changes a customer’s service, price or access should be explainable and reversible by a person.
